Pre-qualification shouldn't be the bottleneck between a maintenance problem and an engineer on site. If you've ever had a contractor stall at the paperwork stage while a motor, pump or gearbox sits out of service, you'll know exactly why that matters.
EES Electro-Mechanical has been issued Constructionline Silver Membership, effective 27th August 2026. It's worth explaining what that upgrade actually verifies and what it changes for anyone running a pre-qualification or approved supplier process.
What Constructionline Verifies
Constructionline is the UK's leading pre-qualification and supply chain management platform, used by central government, the NHS, local authorities and main contractors to check a supplier's credentials before work is awarded. It's built to remove duplicated effort: rather than each buyer running its own separate assessment, Constructionline verifies a supplier once and makes that verification available across the whole platform.
Membership sits in tiers, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, with each level requiring a deeper level of verification than the one before it.
Bronze to Silver: What Changes
At Bronze level, Constructionline verifies core company information, insurance, and confirms the supplier holds a valid SSIP health and safety certificate. Silver builds on that. Our certificate confirms EES Electro-Mechanical has met pre-qualification requirements appropriate to both public and private sector procurement, a step up from the entry-level checks that Bronze membership covers.
In practice, that means a broader and more detailed set of our policies, processes and documentation has now been reviewed and verified, not just the baseline health and safety position.
Why This Matters If You're Running Due Diligence
If your organisation uses Constructionline to manage its own approved supplier list, our Silver status should move us further through your process without you needing to request additional documents directly from us. A few things worth knowing:
- Constructionline notes that a supplier's verification status is dynamic, so it's worth checking our current status on the platform rather than relying solely on a static certificate
- Silver membership reflects a deeper level of pre-qualification than Bronze, which can matter if your own procurement policy sets a minimum tier for suppliers
- Because Constructionline is used across both public and private sector procurement, this verification carries weight whether you're an NHS estates team, a local authority, or a main contractor managing your own supply chain
Keeping Accreditations Current
We treat pre-qualification status the same way we treat our other accreditations, as something to maintain, not something to display once and forget about. Our Constructionline profile, along with our SafeContractor, Avetta, ATEX and PQS accreditations, is kept current so that when you're checking a contractor before instructing work, the answer is already there.
