A motor keeps tripping or runs badly. It gets sent for repair, comes back, and the problem is still there. Sometimes the reason is that the fault was never in the motor.
Why the motor takes the blame
The motor is the part you can see and hear, so it is the obvious suspect. But a motor sits inside a system: a supply, a drive or controls, the motor itself, and whatever it is driving. A fault in any of them can show up as a motor that will not run properly.
The cost of looking in the wrong place
If the motor is repaired and the real cause is elsewhere, you have paid for a repair that was never going to solve the problem, and production has stopped again. That is why looking at the whole system matters.
Why one team helps
When the motor repairer and the drives contractor are different companies, a fault that sits between them can be passed back and forth. At EES Electro-Mechanical, drives and controls, motor rewinds, gearbox refurbishment and laser alignment are covered by one team. You deal with one point of contact, and one accountable engineer is responsible for each job.
How we approach it
Tell us what the equipment is doing, what has already been done to it, and what you have found so far. Our engineers look for the root cause across the system, so the job addresses more than the symptom.
Next step
See Drives and Controls, or describe the problem in the quote form.
