Thermographic Surveys: Finding Hot Spots Before They Cause a Shutdown

Some equipment problems cannot be seen. A connection or component can be running hotter than it should for weeks before it fails, and by the time you notice, production has stopped.

    What a thermographic survey is

A thermographic survey uses thermal imaging to show temperature differences across equipment. Unusual hot spots can point to a problem that is not visible to the eye.

    Why it helps

A survey gives you a chance to find a problem while the equipment is still running. That lets you plan the work for a time that suits your operations, rather than reacting to a breakdown.

When a survey points to a fault

A hot spot is a sign that something needs attention, not a diagnosis in itself. The next step is working out what is behind it. At EES Electro-Mechanical, our repair, drives and controls, balancing and alignment services sit within the same business, so a survey finding can lead to the work that deals with it. Our engineers look for the root cause, so the job addresses more than the symptom.

    How EES Electro-Mechanical can help

We offer thermographic surveys to maintenance teams across Greater Manchester and the North West. Tell us what you would like surveyed and we will confirm how we can help.
